Comparing Archive Files

Open a new folder or file comparison window, then load the archive or compressed files you want to compare. DeltaWalker Classic opens and compares them as hierarchical structures, much as it compares folder hierarchies on the file system.

Supported archive formats include:

• ZIP  (.zip)
• Java archive (JAR)  (.jar, .ear, .war)
• Tape archive (TAR)  (.tar, .tgz, .tbz2)
• GNU zip (GZIP)  (.gz)
• BZIP2  (.bz2)

Archive files are opened in read-only mode, which means no changes can be made to them from inside DeltaWalker Classic.
